lesson 8

lesson 8 was when we found out who got chosen my idea didn't get chosen and i was put in a group with kausar and rain and when we got put in our groups we got set straight away on kausars pre production work for his advert there was a bit of confusion at first with what kausars idea was but in the end we picked up what it was. i was tasked with the location recce and risk assement which i completed within a day of being tasked with it infact our group finished all our pre production work within a week although we did have to improve our work a few times when our Teacher Richard asked us to improve it to make sure all of the work was of high class standard.

Lesson 7

Lesson 7 was our pitch day i had a problem as i lost my powerpoint up to and i had to start all over again in the morning luckily i managed to finish it again before the pitch during the pitch i was very nervous and kept stuttering my words up but i managed to pull through it and complete a succesfull presentation to the client and get my idea across

lesson 6

as the 6th lesson was a week before our pitch we focused on our powerpoint presentation for our advert as i was nearly finished i didnt have much to do so i started to focus on my preproduction work for the unit and i managed to complete that when i was at home and seeing as i had finished my powerpoint i started to revise what i was going to say to the client in my pitch and i made small que cards at home so i could learn off them for the pitch

lesson 5

In the 5th lesson Richard took us on a trip to Rochdale to visit the mind charity the first place we visited was the mind cafe at the local walk in clinic where john had a talk with us about what would happen during the day after we had visited the cafe we walked through Rochdale town center and stopped out mind rochdales office where john explained to us what went on there after that we carried on walking to where they do all clubs and where you can do various stuff such as playing the drums or art and john had a talk with us about the building after this we went to the alotment where the charity and its users grown there own fruit and veg and whilst we were there we had a talk with some of the staff there and some of the users aswell about what kinfd of stuff the grow and how the gardens are used after we finished at the alotment we went back to where they do all the clubs and activitys for a talk and a coffee after we had a talk on the day we then walked back to the cafe for something to eat before we went home

Lesson 4

In lesson 4 we started work on our powerpoint and we were told it had to be no more then 8 slides i was nervous about this as on my music video presentation i didnt have enough information or slides as i didnt follow the brief but i was determined to follow the brief this time as this was a very important client that we were working for and i didn't want to let the client or the college down in anyway by not doing enough research for the presentation and another reason was because my idea had never been picked before and i wanted to change that and finaly do well in a unit

lesson 3

In lesson 3 John swallow who works for mind Rochdale came in to talk to us about the unit and help us gain some more ideas for our advert he said that he wanted the adverts to be 20-35 seconds long we asked john loads of questions on the charity he also said that he wanted the adverts to send a message to people that no matter what you are never alone if you have a mental i think this talk helped us because we was all struggling with our ideas for the advert and with john answering our questions it gave us an insight in to how he advert should look and what should be in it.

lessson 2

In lesson 2 we were paired up with somebody else in the room and we had to research about mind what it was how it helps people what the listen up campaign is all about and also what mental health is. i was paired up with Kim and we imidetly started to do the research. i was in charge of the research an kim was in charge of wrihting the information down we looked on mind rochdales website as that has loads of information we also looked on various other websites as well after we had done the research we were ready to present our presentation to the class although there was a few nerves we managed to successfully present our idea and gain some feedback from the rest of the group on our research as well as doing our own research evveryone in the group was able to make notes from other peoples presentations and that enabled us to gain some more information if we didnt have it written down

In the first lesson we were given a brief from our tutor Richard what specified what the unit was going to be about and in the brief it said our task was to create a mental health advert for the Rochdale branch of the charity mind and the advert was to be between 20-35 seconds although we could go over by a little bit if the advert was good enough it also said in the brief that our adverts were to be put on minds website as part of a nationwide campaign for the charity. We also went through the grades and learning outcomes in this lesson with our tutor Richard and we also asked questions about what the client wanted from the advert.After we has looked at the brief Richard showed us some of the booth center homeless adverts from the previous year as they helped us with what we wanted to do
